Minister of Transport Leads the General Assembly of National Navigation Company H.E. the Minister of Transport chaired the General Assembly of National Navigation Company, during which the company’s financial and operational results for FY 2025 were approved. The results demonstrated strong and resilient performance despite ongoing challenges in the global maritime sector, with a notable increase in total cargo transported, reflecting the efficiency and competitiveness of the company’s fleet in international markets. As part of its commercial strategy, the company expanded its cooperation with the private sector, increasing its share of cargo shipments from 20% in 2021 to 80% in 2025, further strengthening revenue diversification and enhancing its global market presence. In line with its fleet modernization plan, the company is set to receive two Kamsarmax vessels in September 2026, followed by two additional vessels in 2028. This investment will contribute to renewing approximately 54% of the fleet within five years, improving operational efficiency and sustainability. These developments align with Egypt’s national strategy to advance the maritime transport sector and expand the Egyptian commercial fleet to 40 vessels by 2030, supporting the country’s vision of becoming a regional hub for transport, logistics, and transit trade.
